Contributing Artist // I started my artistic journey as a child in West Texas. Besides the usual drawing and painting, I learned the basics for woodworking and fiber arts. Since my 2”x4” boats would not float in the gutter during a rain, I started focusing more on fiber arts. At that time, I learned embroidery, sewing, and simple weaving.
When I finished college, I moved to the Texas Gulf Coast where my journey continued as I raised my family. I learned many other fiber arts through the years, discarded some, and kept spinning, knitting, and lace-making in my portfolio. I also dabbled in ceramics and writing which I began in high school.
With the onset of retirement, I moved to North Texas. Here I have found many friends in the fiber arts community. Now I spend my artistic time knitting, weaving, and writing with forays into other areas of fiber arts and other art forms. I also enjoy demonstrating and teaching fiber arts where I try to drag others into the rabbit hole with me.
